Obstetrics at Milton District Hospital

The Obstetrics Unit at the Milton District Hospital Site is a full service Level 1 facility. It is a secure unit with labour, delivery and post partum beds for eight patients.

The MDH Obstetrical Unit reopened in July 2002 when Dr. Glen Hunter, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, joined the HHS Medical Staff. Recently, Dr. Hunter has been joined by two additional Obstetricians/Gynaecologists.

A Breastfeeding Clinic and Prenatal Breastfeeding classes are also available for mothers who give birth at MDH.
