Medical and Surgical Services at Milton District Hospital

Milton District Hospital provides medical and surgical inpatient care and intensive care. Surgical day care services are also provided on an outpatient basis.

Over the past two years, MDH has successfully recruited three obstetricians/gynaecologists, two general surgeons, nine family physicians, a full-time orthopaedic surgeon and a full-time urologist.

Surgical services
Surgical services are provided by a team of health care professionals including nurses, surgeons, anaesthetists, family physicians and a host of other hospital professionals.

Medical Services
Our medical program includes the operation of a 6-bed intensive care unit. Medical patients stay in the medical surgical unit on the second floor. Our multidisciplinary team includes support for Palliative Care and Social Work and Discharge Planning. Medical services at MDH are supported by diagnostic and therapeutic services within the hospital.

The medical services are focused on providing quality patient and family focused care.
