Who we support?
The Milton District Hospital (MDH) serves the health care needs of Milton and all surrounding area communities.
MDH is a bright, modern community hospital built on 30 acres of land, reflecting its rural heritage. Offering a wide range of primary care services, its major clinical areas include obstetrics, general medicine, surgery and complex continuing care. The emergency department, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, provides service to more than 37,000 patients annually.
With your support Milton District Hospital will continue to deliver the best possible healthcare right here in Milton.
How we support?
Founded in 1980, the Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF) works tirelessly to raise funds for the Milton District Hospital (MDH) site of the Halton Healthcare Services – amalgamation of MDH, Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) and the Georgetown Hospital (GH).
Through annual fundraising initiatives, community events and a combination of various other programs, the MDHF raises funds to help purchase vital medical equipment and improve the facilities of MDH. All donations made to the MDHF remain in Milton.
Over the years, the MDHF has developed a strong tradition of community support to ensure the community of Milton has access to quality healthcare close to home. You can help to meet the healthcare needs of tomorrow by continuing these successful partnerships today.
Our Foundation raises funds for MDH through a number of means:
-
Corporate Giving and Sponsorships
-
Direct Mail and Individual Giving
-
Planned Giving and Endowment
-
Major Gifts
-
Special Events: Annual MDHF Gala, Annual MDHF Golf Tournament
The Foundation also works with members of our community who raise funds on our behalf for MDH. These community events are organized by schools, service clubs, employee and union groups, cultural groups and dedicated individuals who have chosen to support their community hospital.
