Merchants of Milton Annual Charity Poker Run August 17, 2008

On Sunday August 17, 2008, motorcycle enthusiasts joined forces in support of the Milton District Hospital at Ron Kulla’s Annual Charity Poker Run. The event was a tremendous success raising $8,000. Proceeds were donated to the Milton District Hospital Foundation, the Milton District Hospital’s fundraising arm. MDHF’s sole purpose is to raise funds for new and replacement equipment, renovation needs, and other supplemental projects of the Milton District Hospital.

Riders gathered at Halton Transmission, located at 88 Ontario St. N. Milton, before setting off on a scenic 150 km ride. The ride ended at the Halton Sportsmen’s Association, located at 5155 Steeles Ave West, Milton where participants enjoyed a steak dinner and a special performance by Milton’s very own “Low Down Dirty Band”.

Ron Kulla, owner and manager of Halton Transmission, organized this annual fundraising event with support from local business sponsors and community members. Thank you to all who sponsored, contributed and participated in this successful event to support healthcare in the Milton community.
